Information Literacy: Digital Literacy

The purpose of this LibGuide is to provide students with resources on information literacy.

Digital Literacy

In today's evolving technological information landscape, information literacy has also given rise to the subfield of digital literacy.

ALA’s Digital Literacy Task Force defines digital literacy as “the ability to use information and communication technologies to find, evaluate, create, and communicate information, requiring both cognitive and technical skills.” https://literacy.ala.org/digital-literacy/

Students who are digitally literate know how to find, consume, and create digital content.
